The Stations of the Cross, also known as, the Way of the Cross, are a series of reflections of the day Jesus was crucified. The Stations allow faithful Christians to make a spiritual journey as they meditate on the Passion of Christ and are not to be restricted to 40 days of the year. A wise priest once said that we need to build something of Lent into our spiritual life. The Stations of the Cross chaplet has brought me closer to the Lord. I hope it enhances your spiritual life as well.
Beads are not necessary to pray the Stations of the Cross chaplet, but if you are new to the Stations, it helps to have beads with pictures and the Stations written on them.
